April showers bring...

pretty little girls with umbrellas!!! Although it's cold and raining, the girls couldn't be more excited to get home from school and play outside with their friend/neighbor/best friend Netalya. It's funny, without fail, every Wednesday and Friday, we arrive home from school and hang up their coats and backpacks. As they start emptying their folders of the days' work, a knock comes on the door. "Come in, Netalya!" We know it's her :)

We've known Netalya since the very first day we moved to the neighborhood, 9 days before Faith was born. Netalya stood in the doorway of her downstairs apartment as we moved in directly upstairs. At two years old, Grace found out "Ta-ta" (as Netalya's older sister, Shaylin, called her) was only two months younger than her. Needless to say, they were fast friends...and are inseperable still 5 years later after two moves (we live next door to each other now).

So it's from an empty nest I write tonight, as Netalya steals Grace and Faith for yet another sleepover! I can't say no to three pairs of big blue eyes! So they quickly (sloppily) cleaned their bedroom and stuffed their backpacks full of toys, videogames, pillowpets, and jammies, grabbed their umbrellas, and skipped off to girlie-dom...
